Department of Languages – Lecturer in French
Full-time lectureship in French, beginning on August 16, 2008. One year appointment with the possibility of renewal to teach French language, literature, and culture at all undergraduate levels. M.A. degree or equivalent in foreign languages or related field. Experience teaching French to American undergraduates according to proficiency/competency approaches required. Training to teach French as a second language preferred. Demonstrated “Advanced High” level proficiency as described in the ACTFL scale in all modalities in French and English. Teaching load is four courses per semester. Full participation in all departmental activities is expected, including placement testing and exit evaluations.
