 The Department of Accounting invites applications for a Visiting Professor position for a nine-month contract period beginning August 16, 2008. This is a non-tenure track appointment which may be renewed on a year-to-year basis.

 Required qualifications include the academic preparation (typically an appropriate PhD) and continuing activities (typically including intellectual contribution activities) necessary to attain and maintain “Academically Qualified” status according to the standards of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business – International (AACSB). Also required is sufficient successful experience teaching basic and advanced courses in taxation and at least one other area of accounting. In addition to teaching and related duties, a modest amount of service activity, professional interaction, and intellectual contribution activity is expected. Collegiality and an appreciation for the Catholic/Marianist traditions of UD are important. We prefer a person with appropriate professional certification (e.g. CPA) and a demonstrated experience in teaching students from diverse backgrounds.
